Abstract: Domestic violence is a pervasive international issue that is closely tied to deeply-set cultural values. In many countries, staggeringly few people report intimate partner violence of any kind, a problem that is exacerbated by systems that fail to support these victims. While there is still much work to be done protecting victims of domestic violence, a number of changes have been implemented around the world in recent years that demonstrate a positive trend towards support.
